David has been part of our team since 2020 and has been a vital Indispensable asset to our firm since day 1. His demeanor is that of a quiet nature yet friendly nature, respectable, but outgoing to make sure our families and things get done effectively and efficiently for all those we serve.
David is always willing to lend a hand whichever way he can as he tends to the families we serve during services. We are grateful for persons like David having joined our team.
Edgar Rodriguez is the Owner and Funeral Director for the Families First at Luz de Paz, (Funeraria Luz de Paz), Bridgeport, CT; He is a lifelong Bridgeport resident where he attended Central High School, class of 1988. He attended the Briarwood College where he received his degree in Applied Sciences with focus on Mortuary Science. He opened the funeral home in 1997 realizing there was a dire need to provide funeral services with the highest of standards and ethical practices the public and families deserve. He is extremely passionate in what he does and focuses on the needs of the families the funeral home serves. There is nothing Edgar will not do to make the family burden easier considering the circumstances they are confronting. Although the funeral home has grown where other employees are needed to also serve families, He is always just a phone call away to make sure things run as smoothly as possible because Families ALWAYS come first!
Debbie joined our team at the funeral home back in 2019. She is a very articulate young woman with a goal to assist our families when they call and need guidance and /or the attention of a funeral director in a time of need. Debbie strives for the best for our families and will go to any length to be sure each person is taken care of.
If you call our firm during the week, usually you may find Debbie in the office from 9 AM -1 P.M., weekdays, but our inter-office joke is that she has yet to work a 20 hour workweek since day one!
Martin Leon Colon has been employed with Familes First at Luz de Paz since May 2014. Currently he assists in many aspects of the operation of the funeral home. He tends to the families needs or requests during services and visitations. Always willing and ready to do whatever is needed, he will be there for everyone who comes through our doors. You may see Martin in our Home during services, in your home if someone passes there, but know there is a little bit of Martin everywhere! He is nonstop!
Martin has a compassionate, caring, attentive disposition to assist in whichever way possible. We are glad Martin has become part of Funeraria Luz de Paz and look forward to many years of service with our firm. It is persons like Martin and the rest of our staff that strive for the best experience considering the circumstances for every family we serve. Never hesitate to ask Martin for assistance when you see him, if he can't, he will definitely guide you to where you can get a resolution to your question or concern.
Luis has been with us since 2006. A very quiet man, but one we can count on at anytime day or night. Luis has been an asset with our company since day one and we appreciate his willingness to be there 24/7.
He usually tends our Parking lot during services to make sure that if parking is available the attendees are able to park and exit in a comfortable fashion. if you approach him with a question or concern, he will immediately seek the answer or resolution for you.
