He remembered everyone’s name and made sure to meet your acquaintance beforeleaving a room. He enjoyed being a Mason and what it stood for as he shared time with other masons in finding ways in which to serve God, family, country, neighbors and self which is a great part of their mission statement. He was a 1990 graduate of Kolbe Cathedral High School and went on to attend Mitchell College. He was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church since he was a child and had served as an altar server. He also served the city of Bridgeport, CT in many capacities, most recently as City Sheriff since 2017; He was also part of the 137th district time committee since 2016; in 1999 he was elected as councilman for the City of Bridgeport 131 st district and remained as such until 2005. Again in 2009 he was re- elected as a councilman and served until 2011. Andy was honored to serve concurrently on the city council with his dad, Manuel who represented the 137 th district those same years. Professionally, Andy was in the auto industry and known throughout many circles as a top salesman over a 15 year career. Socially, Andy was a passionate competitor on the softball diamond and is best known for his contributions to the Tiburones and Mavericks softball clubs.
In addition to his parents, Andy is survived by his brother Kelvin Ayala; his sisters Sonia Hernandez and her spouse Rafael, and Carmen I.
