Yvonne Marie Thieringer

Yvonne Marie (Smith) Thieringer, 55, passed peacefully on July 5, 2023, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT.  She was born in Greenwich Village, New York to the late Richard Smith and the late Yvonne Moss. She is predeceased by her devoted late husband, James Thieringer, Jr.

Evy was a trusted banker and friend to Bridgeport's business community as a head teller of TD Bank for over 24 years where she also met lifelong friends. She had an incomparable dynamic, selfless and compassionate personality with a kind and generous spirit. She was always positive and loved hard. Her strong Irish Catholic Faith helped define who she was. She was truly a beautiful soul.

She was an excellent cook and baker, and the best hostess you had ever met. All were welcome in her home. She enjoyed every holiday and party, yet she marveled in the magic of Christmas - she was "Christmas Evy".  She was an avid reader and always had a romance novel with her. She was the epitome of "Live, Love, Laugh". Her laughter will be missed by all.

Yvonne leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving siblings Catherine and Gary Smith, her precious nieces and nephews Kayla Marie Smith, Natalia Restrepo, Savannah Rodriguez, Tavis Eagles Jr., Nasya Lawson and Jesiah Lawson and a great nephew Kaysen Eagles, her partner who was her second chance at love and best friend Randy Grenier, as well as, a host of friends and family that will miss her dearly.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
