In Loving Memory of

Yaneisy Santiago

 November 9, 1979– December 7, 2024

Born in Mayaquez, Puerto Rico, Yaneisy Santiago entered this world as a cherished daughter of the late Luis Irizarry and Carmen Patron who is currently of Bridgeport, CT.  At six months old, she relocated to Bridgeport, where she was raised, and she most recently resided in Radcliff, Kentucky.

Yaneisy was the beloved wife of Hector Santiago and a devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend.  She filled her life with simple joys, such as baking, special days spent at the beach, and decorating for every holiday with an enthusiasm that brought warmth and festivity to her home.  Known for her humble smile, which brightened every room she entered.  Yaneisy found her greatest happiness surrounded by her family.

A sweet and caring soul, she always had a kind word to offer and put others before herself, inspiring confidence in those around her even when she quietly probably struggled through her own.  She loved gathering with loved ones, especially for a great sing along to her favorite music, creating memories that will be cherished forever.  Deeply loved by so many, Yaneisy's gentle demeanor and unwavering faith ensured her family always knew the presence and importance of God in their lives.

Yaneisy is survived by her husband, Hector Santiago: her mother, Carmen Patron, step-father Darrly Lee, her children Nathan Vizcaino, Yanay Irizarry, Damaris (Tomas N.) Vega, Yvonne (Christopher) Bishop, Julissa Santiago and Jaylani Santiago; her siblings Darryl, Viena, Jessica, Daniel, Nando and Junito.  She also leaves behind five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will always miss her.  She was preceded in death by her dad the late Luis Irizarry.

A viewing will take place on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT.  Final disposition will be held privately.

Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
