Wilfredo Soto Torres, born on July 20, 1956, in Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully. He was 68 years old. In 1992, he moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut, after serving as a dedicated police officer in Puerto Rico.
Wilfredo is survived by his loving wife, Carmen Lydia Soto; his daughters, Nilka Soto (José A. Lozada) and Melissa Soto (Keith Quinn); his son, Wilfredo Soto Jr. (Bibiana Montoya); eleven grandchildren, Yamilka Rivera, Katherine Rivera, Destinee Lozada, Keisy Cruz, Bryan Morera, Joriel Morera, Wilfredo Soto III, Victor Soto, Maria Soto, Manuela Alvarez, Edwar Orantes; and two great-grandchildren, Amir King Hennegan, Zaniyah Jazon; his siblings, Lillian Soto, Edgardo Soto, Hector Soto, Vidalina Soto, and Ivette Soto. He was predeceased by his parents, Octavio Soto and Felicita Torres.
Known for his great sense of humor and fighting spirit, Wilfredo cherished trips to Puerto Rico, dining at Olive Garden and Chili's, Sometimes a nice ride by the beach is all he needed. Wilfredo was a devoted father who loved his family deeply.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Final disposition will be private at the convenience of the family.
