Steven Diaz, Jr., age 21, a young man who left us far too soon leaving an indelible mark on our hearts departed on Saturday, May 4, 2024, when he embarked on his next great adventure, joining the celestial party up above, much to the delight of the almighty God.Steven, a true Bridgeport native through and through, could be found many times with a baseball glove in one hand and a smile on his face. He didn't just play the game; he was a coach and mentor to the next generation of sluggers, imparting his love for the sport with infectious enthusiasm. And let's not forget his passion for cars, shared with a circle of friends who were just as revved up about horsepower and torque as he was.If you ever had the pleasure of sharing a conversation with Steven, you knew you were in for an unfiltered dose of truth, sprinkled with a hint of sass that only added to his charm. Let's not get started on his love affair with Ramen Noodles—let's just say he had a special bond with those noodles that transcended the occasional craving.Despite the curveballs life threw his way, Steven faced them head-on with a tenacity that inspired all who knew him.
