Samuel Lopez Ramos, born on January 4, 1947, to the late Ernesto and Delfina Lopez in Utuado, Puerto Rico, passed away on November 14, 2024, in Bridgeport, CT. He lived most of his life in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where he became a cherished member of the community. Samuel was a humble and generous man, known for his open heart and willingness to help others. A talented cook, he loved hosting gatherings where friends and family could enjoy delicious meals, often in the form of lively cookouts and celebrations. In earlier years, he was often found at local social spots, enjoying the camaraderie of friends and neighbors. A true sports enthusiast, Samuel was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. His love for music was as diverse as his interests, ranging from salsa to ballads and everything in between. However, what truly set Samuel apart was his deep passion for cockfighting. He found immense joy in caring for roosters, taking pride in the sport, and sharing stories of his birds with friends. This pastime connected him to his roots, keeping alive a tradition that was close to his heart. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Lopez; his devoted children, Samuel Lopez Jr., Ilene Lopez, and his 4 sisters and 9 brothers.  Samuel’s legacy of kindness, hospitality, and passion for life will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. His love for family, friends, and the simple joys of life will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Viewing has been scheduled for Friday, November 22, 2024, beginning at 10:00 A.M. Followed by the Funeral Service. 

Interment will take place in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford, CT
