Rosario Vega

Rosario "Zaida" Vega, 68, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on July 2, 2024. She was born to the late Jaime Vega and Eleuteria Cortes in Cataño, Puerto Rico.  

Zaida had a generous and loving spirit and was always willing to give of herself to others.  She was a wise shopper who enjoyed finding a good sale. She was a talented cook who lovingly prepared delicious meals for her family. Her greatest past time was spoiling her children and grandchildren.

Zaida will now join her late son Hector Almodovar in the gates of heaven. She leaves behind to honor her memory her loving sons Luis (Jasmina), Eliaser (Jeanette), Christopher (Astrid), her daughter-in-law Noemi, her 8 precious grandchildren and great grandchild, her siblings Felix (Teresa), Margarita, Bernardino and Sylvia as well as a host of friends and relatives that will miss her dearly. 

Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024, from 10:30AM - 1:00 PM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT.  Interment will follow immediately after at Mt. Grove Cemetery, 2675 North Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
