Rosalinda Irene Vazquez

September 10, 1980 — February 8, 2025

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Rosalinda Irene Vazquez on February 8, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Born in Bridgeport, CT, on September 10, 1980, Rosalinda was a vibrant soul whose kindness and warmth touched the lives of everyone she met.

Rosalinda dedicated her career to food services, a fitting vocation for someone who had a passion for cooking and sharing meals with loved ones. Her feisty, social spirit made her a beloved presence in the community.  She had a unique ability to connect with others, talking to everyone she encountered, and her friendly demeanor made everyone feel at home. She was well-loved not just for her conversations but also for her generous heart, always willing to lend a helping hand or an encouraging word.  Rosalinda took great pride in her Puerto Rican heritage celebrating it's delicious cuisine, music and culture.

Family was everything to Rosalinda. She took pride in her children, Isabel Rosa Santoyo, Miguel Angel Santoyo, and Alex Ignacio Santoyo. They were her treasures, and the moments they spent together were her proudest accomplishments. The love Rosalinda had for her family was immeasurable – her life was a beautiful tapestry woven from the love and laughter shared with those she cherished.  During the summer months with much excitement, she planned family outings to have picnics in the park, splashing around in the beach and adventurous times at amusement parks.

Rosalinda was the daughter of Elizabeth Vilanova Hernandez and Bibiano Vazquez Jr.. She is survived by her caring mother and her loving children. Her bond with her brothers; Robert, Jonathan, Joseph Russo, and Ariel Benjamin Clara Vilanova, added to the rich fabric of her life. She also shared a special connection with her grandfather, Wilfredo Vilanova, her grandmother, Anita Ruiz Vazquez and precious aunt Yolanda Vazquez.

In her leisure, Rosalinda enjoyed activities that fed her soul. Reading, journaling, and being a movie enthusiast provided solace and entertainment in her life. She cherished the quiet moments spent immersed in her favorite books and the laughter shared with family over films.

As we gather to celebrate the life of Rosalinda Irene Vazquez, let us remember her kindness and the impact she had on the lives of those around her. A visitation will be held at Funeraria Luz De Paz in Bridgeport, CT, on February 23, 2025, from 5 PM to 8 PM, and again on February 24, 2025, from 10 AM to 11 AM.
