Roberto Saul Rodriguez, beloved son of Saul Rodriguez and Ruth Rodriguez, was born on April 5, 1957, in New York, NY. He passed away on October 7, 2023, in Bridgeport, CT, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by his family and friends forever.
His vibrant presence and infectious enthusiasm were evident. His dedication to his loved ones was unmatched. Always giving what he could to help.
Family was at the core of Roberto's being. As a devoted father he took immense pride in watching them grow into remarkable individuals. Roberto's love for his children knew no bounds. He is survived by his two children Samuel Rodriguez and Connie Rodriguez, his grandchildren Elijah and Lilith, his six siblings David, Saul Jr, Loyda, Naomi, Anna, & Ruth as well as over two dozen nieces and nephews who cared for him deeply. He was predeceased by his brother Joshua "Joey" Rodriguez.
In his leisure time, Roberto was an avid listener of music, especially salsa he would sit and listen for hours. He loved watching wrestling and boxing and would always have friends and family watch along with him. He liked to visit seaside park during the summer with friends and family for get togethers.
Friends fondly remember Roberto's genuine kindness and compassionate nature. He drew people to him effortlessly, making him an anchor in their lives. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will serve as a beacon of light during times of sorrow.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Funeraria Luz De Paz in Bridgeport, CT. It is an opportunity for family and friends to come together to pay their respects, share stories of Roberto's life, and find solace in each other's company. The visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. and conclude at 9:00 p.m., providing ample time for loved ones to reminisce and honor his memory.
Roberto Saul Rodriguez instilled in those who knew him the importance of love, kindness, and perseverance. As we mourn his loss, let us also celebrate the beautiful life he lived and feel grateful for having been touched by his unwavering spirit.
