Richard Frank Pezzella Jr., 56, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on April 25, 2021 in Bridgeport Hospital. He was born to Catherine J. Cervera Pezzella and the late Richard F. Pezzella in New York, New York. He has been an active resident of the city of Bridgeport for many years.
Richard was a vibrant person who easily engaged in conversation with all. He enjoyed socializing and had an infectious laugh, especially when laughing at his own jokes. He was committed employee of Budget Storage on Boston Avenue. Richard took his big brother role very seriously and always looked after his little sister. Above all Richard's biggest accomplishment was being a dedicated father to his beautiful daughters. He was their biggest advocate and championed for them to have better opportunities and life experiences. As a result he was actively involved their education as PAC president of Harding High School as well as working tirelessly on the board of the Executive PAC for the Bridgeport School District.
Richard's premature parting leaves behind his grieving mother Catherine J. Pezzella, his beloved daughters; Emily, Teresa, Catherine A. (Anasti Talley) and Jasmin (Colin Townsend), his loving sister Lisa Sullivan (Kenneth Sullivan) and a host of family and friends.
Although Richard has left this world much too soon his legacy will always live on in his beautiful daughters and the thousands of students in the Bridgeport Public School system which he gave of himself endlessly for their betterment.
