Raymon Mercado-Diaz

Raymon Mercado-Diaz, 52, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on January 21, 2024, after a very courageous battle with kidney disease at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT.  He was born in Brooklyn, New York to Luis Mercado and Nicolasa Diaz.  He was the beloved partner of Marybel Torres.

Raymon was a very kind and generous person who freely gave whatever he had to those in need.  He had a beautiful disposition and a warm soul.  He was very knowledgeable about all types of automobiles and took great pride in detailing them.  He enjoyed listening to music, especially Christian music, bachata, salsa and merengue.  He could be seen often dancing to these different types of music and was known to be a prankster.

Aside from his beloved Marybel, Raymon leaves behind to cherish his memory his children Ashley, Raymon Jr. and Carlos as well as a precious grandchildren, his siblings Yvonne, Maria and Luis and his best friend Tommy Martinez as well as a host of friends and relatives that will miss him dearly.  He was predeceased by his brothers Tomas, Pablo and George.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
