Ramon E. Ruiz

Ramon E. Ruiz, age 37, of Bridgeport has passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord on January 10, 2022, in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT. Ramon is the son of Ernesto Ruiz and Marilyn Contreras. He is the husband of Jennifer Ruiz. He was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico but relocated to the Bridgeport area at an early age and has resided here since. Ramon loved his family with everything within him. He coached softball for his daughter's team for the Bridgeport Caribe Youth League and looked forward to the Travel Softball team also which he also coached. He was a very creative and artistic man. He appreciated a challenge in doing things that would seem impossible for others, but his creativity and talents allowed him to persevere. Ramon was employed at Colonial Coatings for the past 16 years. After work, he researched different recipes and would spend time baking with his baby girl.

Besides his parents and wife, Ramon is survived by his daughters Jordyn Tatiana Ruiz and Malainy Camila Ruiz, his siblings Omar Contreras, Nestor Ruiz, Zuheily Ruiz and Luis A. Vazquez, his grandmothers Mirna Perez and Aida L. Torres. In addition to many relatives and friends who will forever miss him.

Friends are invited to attend calling hours which will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022, from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.

It is imperative everyone is advised of the following guidelines if you wish to attend the viewing/visitation

PLEASE NOTE: In an effort to protect the health and well-being of EVERYONE who in attendance, it is imperative that ALL follow these guidelines:

-DURING VISITATION, ONLY DESIGNATED FAMILY MEMBERS WILL REMAIN INSIDE THE FUNERAL HOME.

-All others will enter through the back ramp into the Funeral home when advised by staff in specified amounts. Such persons will enter, sign the register book, proceed to view the body, and continue to exit the facility. Upon exiting, others will be allowed to enter so that everyone may have an opportunity to pay their respects.

-Everyone entering the funeral home must properly wear a face mask which covers the nose and mouth. Please do not approach the family. You may address them from a safe distance with a courteous wave. Although it is their wish to embrace everyone who is in attendance, it is their reality that COVID is something to be cautious about whenever in public. We comprehend this is one of the most challenging times when we come together to support each other during the loss of a loved one, but it should be the goal of everyone in attendance to protect the health of all. We will appreciate everyone's cooperation.
