Obituary for Rafael Ventura Calderon
Rafael Ventura Calderon, born on December 10, 1953, in San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic, entered eternal rest on September 19, 2024, in Bronx, New York. He was the beloved son of the late Rafael Ventura and the late Leona Calderon.
A man of profound faith, Rafael was deeply committed to his relationship with God. His family recalls his unwavering dedication to studying the Bible, often immersing himself in the sacred scriptures, undisturbed, as these moments were a reflection of his reverence for the divine. His passion for spreading God’s word led him to travel and preach in many places, sharing the message of faith and hope wherever he went.
Rafael’s legacy of love, faith, and service lives on through his devoted wife, Teresa Medrano de Ventura, and his cherished daughters, Hidekel Ventura, Keyla Ventura, and Katherine Ventura and his son Rafael Ventura Jr.. He is also survived by his siblings, Jose E. Ventura, Angel Ventura, Carmen Ventura, and Eugenia Ventura. His nine grandchildren, along with one great-grandchild, brought him immense joy, and he was a guiding light to his many nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends who will deeply miss his presence.
As we remember Rafael, we honor a life dedicated to faith, family, and the uplifting of others through his ministry. His spirit of service and love for God will forever be in our hearts.
