Providencia Morales

Providencia “Pura” Morales, 102, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on June 19, 2024, at her home surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to the late Agusto Cruz and the late Maria Cruz,  she migrated to the greater Bridgeport area in 1956. She was the beloved wife of the late Rogelio Morales.

Providencia was a social butterfly who enjoyed her time with others especially at the senior center and the casinos.  She was lovingly referred to by many as the "Avon Lady".  She loved preparing delicious meals for her family, who were truly her greatest accomplishment.

Providencia leaves behind to honor her memory her loving children Carmen Labrador, Rogelio Morales (Jenny), Juan "Tony” Morales, Heriberto “Eddie” Morales (Rosa), and her care giver Maria Morales (Andre), and her precious grandchildren and many  great grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives that will miss her dearly. Aside from her husband she was predeceased by two sons Julio Morales and Jose Morales.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Interment will follow immediately after at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
