Pedro Medina, a beloved figure in the lives of many, was born on November 26, 1930, in the vibrant locale of Caguas, Puerto Rico. He departed this world peacefully on March 18, 2025, in the comfort of his home in Ansonia, CT, leaving behind a legacy defined by love, laughter, and unwavering support.
Throughout his life, Pedro carved out a career as a dedicated machine operator in the manufacturing industry. His work ethic and friendly demeanor made him a cherished colleague and friend to many. Those who knew him often referred to him with great affection as a "cool dad" and "cool uncle," attesting to the heartwarming relationships he fostered with his family and friends.
Pedro was a man of diverse interests and passions. As a lifelong Yankee fan and a wrestling enthusiast, he found joy in both the excitement of sports and the camaraderie of shared experiences. His personality radiated friendliness, making every encounter with him a memorable one.
He is survived by his cherished children: Carmen Medina (married to Luis Cruz), Gladys Medina (married to Rufino Castillo), Jose Medina, and William Medina. Pedro was also a proud grandfather to 17 grandchildren and great grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of his spirit and warmth and Maria Vasquez.
Pedro is preceded in death by his devoted parents, Santos Medina and Josefina Delvalle. Their guidance and love undoubtedly helped shape the remarkable man he became.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Pedro's life during a viewing at Funeraria Luz De Paz, located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608 on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
