Osvaldo Marin Montañez

Osvaldo Marin Montañez, age 74, entered into Eternal Rest unexpectedly on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at his Bridgeport residence. He was born in Gurabo, Puerto Rico son of the late Avelino Marin and Sabina Montañez prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. He is survived by many who will miss him dearly. Osvaldo enjoyed music, especially Salsa and he enjoyed countless events with family and friends, He was known for his exceptional painting and handyman skills, constant smile, contagious laugh and giving heart. Osvaldo is survived by his son is Luis Osvaldo; his sisters Sofia Marin and Zoa: His brothers Vicente Marin, Pedro Rodriguez and Ramon Rodriguez (a special sister-in-law Marilyn Rodriguez.) He is predeceased by his brothers Auelio Marin, Hector Marin, and Jose Rodriguez; two grandchildren, twenty nieces and twenty nephews, and a special nephew whom was dear to his heart, Wesley and a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donation be made to Funeraria Luz de Paz. Friends and family are invited to attend Calling Hours on Saturday, April 13, 2019, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. His Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Ave. Bridgeport, CT 06610.
