Omar David Rios, a beloved son, brother, and friend, sadly passed away on September 18, 2023, in his hometown of Bridgeport, CT. Born on March 8, 1999, Omar brought joy and laughter to all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He was known for his quick wit, charming personality, and ability to light up any room he entered.
Omar's life journey was filled with remarkable achievements and cherished memories. After earning his high diploma from Bridgeport Military Academy, he pursued his passion for driving by obtaining a Commercial Truck driver's license. For the past six years, he fearlessly traversed the roads as a skilled long-haul driver. Omar's commitment and dedication to his career defined his work ethic and showcased his determination.
The family held a special place in Omar's heart; he cherished spending quality time together with all those he loved. Whether it was frequently his mom and sister' phone with messages or enjoying moments of togetherness during family gatherings, Omar knew the true value of these connections.
Omar will be deeply missed by his loved ones. He is survived by his mother Brenmari Largares, stepfather Oskar Aparicio, sisters Lisa Rios, and Monica Nieves, Father David Rios Jr., grandmothers Aida L. Burgos and Carmen Rios, his grandfather David Rios as well as his girlfriend Fatima Bonilla.
Services honoring the life of Omar David Rios will be held at the Funeraria Luz De Paz located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. The viewing will take place on September 24, 2023, starting at 4:30 PM until 7:00 PM.
The funeral service will be held on September 25th at Funeraria Luz De Paz beginning at 10:00 AM, with the burial following at Mt. Grove Easton Cemetery, 100 Harvester Rd, Easton, CT 06612 at 11:15 AM.
Omar's infectious laughter and caring nature touched the lives of many. His memory will forever remain etched in our hearts as we celebrate the vibrant and beautiful soul he was. May he find eternal peace in the embrace of his loved ones who passed before him.
