Nylkia Hernandez

Nylkia Hernandez, age 41 of Bridgeport, returned to the Loving Arms of the Lord on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. She was born in Bridgeport; daughter of Isaac and Brumilda Cruz. Nylkia was adventurous to her core; she was a true thrill seeker and enjoyed every minute of it. She was a huge fan of Steve Harvey, MMA, UFC, cage fighting and the New York Yankees. Nylkia's favorite pastime was fishing as it gifted her the peace she also enjoyed at times, but also the thrill when a bite occurred and the challenge to reel em in! Her sudden departure will forever leave a void that God's mercy and grace will fill with the wonderful memories she leaves behind to last a lifetime! Along with her parents, Nylkia is survived by her sister, Jacelyn Montañez and her niece Keliana Prioleau. Family and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT 06608. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, July 29, 2021 beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Her interment will follow at Park Cemetery, 620 Lindley St., Bridgeport, CT 06606.
