Nicolasa Diaz

Nicolasa Diaz, age 87, of Bridgeport has passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord on January 22, 2022, in Bridgeport Hospital. Nicolasa was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico to the late Pablo Diaz, and the late Andrea Lopez. She had relocated to the Bridgeport area many years ago and has resided here since. Nicolasa is the mother of Luis Mercado, Ramon Mercado, Luz Colon, Maria Mangual (Raymond Pagan), eighteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren who will dearly miss her. In addition to her parents, Nicolasa was preceded in death by her sons the late Jorge Colon, the late Tomas Colon and the late Pablo Colon.

Friends are invited to attend calling hours to be held on Monday, January 31, 2022, from 5-8 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. Funeral Services have been scheduled for Tuesday, Feb 1, 2022 beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home followed by interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT;
