Myrtha Iris Martinez, age 61, of Bridgeport has entered into peaceful Rest with the Lord on January 22, 2022, in Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT. Myrtha was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico but relocated to the United States mainland 58 years ago. She is the daughter of the late Victor M. Negron and the late Maria I. Lopez. Myrtha was a beautiful woman with a heart of Gold. She had a humble, peaceful demeanor and constantly cared for all those she knew. Everyone who knew her understood they can always count on her even if it is just to take the time to listen and if that is what it took to help someone through a trialing time. While Myrtha worked in the banking industry for most of her life, she had many talents. On some of her pass time she was the hairdresser and barber for quite a few family members and friends. She also mastered the recipe of making Sofrito which is a Latin condiment used in a lot of recipes in Puerto Rican cuisine. Everyone knew that she passionately loved the Lord and many knew that her church, Iglesia Principe de Paz was like her second home. She faithfully served as treasurer for 25 years for her church, graduated from the Assemblies of God Bible Institute with a Theology Diploma of 4 years, and has been an active member of her church for over 30 years. The best moments she looked forward to was spending time with her family especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and teaching Christ’s love to them. She will be greatly missed by all.
