Miguel F. Acevedo, known for his dedication and craftsmanship as a steelworker at Handy & Harmon for 25 years, has sadly passed away at the age of 79. He was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, on July 5, 1944, and left this world on June 21, 2024, in Deltona, Florida.
Miguel had an undeniable passion for cars that shone through his hobbies and interests. As a car enthusiast, he spent countless hours working on project cars enhancing muscle cars. Whether it was tinkering under the hood or revving engines, Miguel found solace in the world of automobiles. In addition to his love for cars, he also enjoyed friendly games of dominoes, peaceful fishing trips, and the vibrant rhythms of salsa music and oldies that brought joy to his days.
In his journey through life, Miguel was guided by his loving family and friends. He is reunited in peace with his father Carlos Figueroa and mother Eugenia Acevedo and sisters Andrea, Monserrate & Carmen. Left to cherish his memory are his: sons Miguel Acevedo Jr, James Acevedo, David Acevedo & brother Luis.
A visitation to honor Miguel's life will take place at Funeraria Luz De Paz in Bridgeport, CT, on July 3, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Following the visitation, a burial service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Bridgeport at 12:30 PM.
Miguel F. Acevedo will be fondly remembered for his dedication to his craft, his love for family, and his passion for all things musical and automotive. May he rest in peace knowing that he has touched the lives of many with his kindness and unwavering spirit.
