Michelle Marcia Moore

Michelle Marcia Moore, age 56, beloved daughter of Jervis E. Moore and Beryl I. Moore, passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord on May 19, 2021, at the Yale New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus, New Haven, CT. Michelle was born in Kingston, Jamaica and immigrated to the United States to pursue the American dream. She was a very goal-oriented, focused and driven person. Always taking pride in her residence, Michelle had a reputation for keeping her home in pristine condition. She enjoyed music and dancing and had a dry sense of humor. Michelle was an avid reader who made it a point to stay up-to-date with current events and was highly opinionated. She became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and had begun furthering her education to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Michelle was never keen on having anyone fuss over her, preferring, instead, to focus on the welfare and wellbeing of others. This was evident even when she was hospitalized in the final days of her life. Her main concerns were that her family members were not jeopardizing their jobs to be by her bedside, and that they would they would be safe getting home from the hospital. Michelle lived life simply and quietly, but always cherished the beauty and blessings therein. Besides her parents, Michelle is survived by her siblings Lois Moore, Anya Gilzene, Jervis A. Moore and his wife Marcia, Michael A. Moore and his wife Novlette; nieces and nephews Damone Henry, Daniel Henry, Nyjah Gilzene, Ramone Moore, Jaunbonae Moore, Sashane Moore, Ramon Moore, Michael Moore Jr., and Javaugn Moore; great nephew Michael Moore III; great niece Emma Henry; as well as a host of other relatives who will miss her sorely. Friends are invited to attend calling house on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 5-7 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06608 Final disposition will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
