Marlen D. Cortez de Zecena

Marlen Del Carmen Cortez de Zecena, age 43, currently of Boston, Mass. has passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord on January 23, 2023 in the Miriam Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island.  Marlen was born in El Salvador to the late Everilda Cortez Leiva and relocated to the United States about 8 years ago.  Marlen loved the Lord and enjoyed nothing more than being with family.  She enjoyed peaceful moments by a lake, river, Ocean or Sea, wherever the sound of water may be, Marlen would embrace the beauty of Nature. She will be sorely missed by all.  She is the loving mother of Karla Zacena Cortez.  Sister Nelson Cortez and a host of other relatives and friends who she met throughout her live will cherish the memories they today treasure more than ever.  

Please join us as we have a Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Peter's Parish on Friday, January 27, 2023 beginning promptly at 10:30 A.M.

Public Viewing and visitation to greet family will take place Friday, January 27, 2023 beginning at 6:00 P.M. Until 9:00 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz.

Final Disposition will take place in her Hometown in Santa Ana, El Salvador.
