Marisol "Mary" Vazquez, age 53, of Bridgeport, peacefully entered the Presence of the Lord on June 13, 2024, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the cherished life long partner of Luis E. Cordova. Marisol was born in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, she moved to the US Mainland at an early age and made it her home ever since. She was the beloved daughter of Iraida Rivera and the late Jose A. Vazquez.
Marisol was a devoted family woman, always ensuring her home was immaculate and her family well-cared for. Her greatest joy was seeing her family's smiles and creating a warm, loving environment. She had a passion for cooking, delighting her family with delicious dishes, and was known for capturing precious moments through photos and videos, leaving behind cherished memories for all.
A can of Coke and a slice of chocolate cake was a constant companion for Marisol, symbolizing her sweet tooth and the simple joys she loved. She treasured every moment with her grandchildren, delighting in passing down her great sense of humor to them. Marisol's unwavering dedication to her family's well-being and her strong convictions shaped them into the productive adults they are today.
Marisol is survived by her children: Sheily K. Cordova, Daniel Ruiz Jr., Randy (Bridgette) Cordova, Sylvia N. (Albert Aponte) Cordova, Ruthy (Marc Quispe) Vazquez, Cynthia J. Cordova, and Sheidelly M. Cordova. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Alexis, Ronny, Kelly, Audri, Jelly, Anthony, Averie, Aubrey, Addison, and Ellie, and Marisol's favorite cousins Maria and Ely. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 5-8 pm at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06608.
Final Disposition will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
