Marina Del Soccoro Flores, age 74 of Bridgeport, returned to the Loving Arms of the Lord on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Julio Jose Flores whom she shared 45 years full of happiness. Marina was born in San Lorenzo, Nicaragua prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area. She loved sharing her Nicaraguan culture through cooking; always finding joy in whipping up delicious native recipes. Marina also liked spending her time crocheting, knitting and putting puzzles together. More than anything else, she loved being a grandmother. Marina was keen on always making time for her grandchildren, whether it was playing dinosaurs or sitting with them; they always brought her great joy. Her pleasant and loveable personality was contagious to everyone she met. She will be dearly missed.
Marina is the loving mother of Hugo Ernesto Flores, Alba Luz Flores, and Maria De Los Angeles Graves; and the adoring grandmother of Jonothan, Jayson, Julian, Tatiyana, Jazlynn, Makayla, Elyjah. She also leaves behind her daugthter-in-law Marilin, her son-in-laws Michael and Alex and lifetime friends Gloria and Richard Orr, Sara Salvador, Gerdo Family and the Acosta family.
She was preceded in death by her son Isidoro Valdez.
