Maria Carmen Rivera

Maria Carmen Rivera, age 65, of Stratford, has entered into eternal rest with the Lord on January 9, 2022, in her home. Maria was born in Laredo Texas to the Late Gabriel Suarez and the late Juanita Suarez. She was raised in East Chicago where she met her life partner Edgardo Rivera, then relocated to Connecticut, residing in Stratford for over 30 years. Maria retired after 22 years of service as a Judicial Marshal for the State of Connecticut. Maria loved her family with every part of her being. Maria is the loving mother to Jerry Feliciano and his Spouse Jahaira, Cynthia Miranda and her Spouse Jason, Lisa Pineda and her Spouse Richard, Carmen Louis-Charles and her spouse Walter. Maria's heart truly belonged to her grandchildren, Angelica, Jerry, Jr., Christian, Xavier, Jennifer, Jason, Jr., Alexandria, Anthony, Sean and Atiana Along with her one great grandson Julian. She is the loving sister of Leticia Berrios and her spouse Luis, Ernesto Suarez and his spouse Maria, Gilberto Lopez, Jr., Joaquin Lopez and his Spouse Carol, Cynthia Lopez and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who will dearly miss her. I was so heartbroken to hear the news . It seems like just yesterday Maria retired from judicial. We shared so many moments . She always imparted words of wisdom in that uniquely calm and soothing voice. A true gem who will be so missed . My prayers are with Cynthia and the rest of the family .
