Maria Colon

Maria Colon, age 77, of Bridgeport has passed into the presence of the Lord on December 7, 2022 in Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT.  Maria was born in Villalba, Puerto Rico  on February 10, 1945 to the Late Juan B. Colon and the late Lucia Torres. Maria relocated to the United States mainland with her children where she has resided since.  

She is the mother of five children, Martin Leon (Nelly), Hector Leon (Jessica), Javier Leon, Janetxy Muñoz, and Teresa Leon and her spouse Monroe.  Many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.  She will be sorely missed by all.

Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. Prayers will begin promptly at 11:00 A.M. in the Funeral Home and at approx. 1:00 P.M. departure to the Mt. Grove Easton Cemetery, Easton, CT where she will be laid to rest.
