Margarita Santiago Torres, age 90, the beloved wife of the late Hiram Santiago Sr., has gone to rest into the Peaceful Glorious presence of the Lord on July 23, 2019 in Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT: Margarita was born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the United States many years ago. She is the daughter of the late Pablo Torres and the late Amelia Camacho; Margarita was a woman who loved the Lord with her heart, mind and soul and was one force to be reckoned with as she was loved by many and by whomever she met. Her contagious personality and sense of humor would draw those around her to get closer and look forward to spending more time with her. Her family was her priority, her love for them was unquestionable; She enjoyed her non stop late night shopping sprees with her daughter that together at some stores, many knew them on a first name basis; as some may say, there wasn't anything you could not love about Margarita whom without a doubt will be missed by all. Margarita is survived by her son Peter Santiago and his wife Maria, of Bridgeport; her daughter, Juani Rivera and her husband Edwin Rivera, Sr., of Bridgeport; her Grandchildren Margarita Quintero, Danny Santiago, Hiram Santiago, Eddie Santaigo, Rebeka "Becky" Santiago, Anthony Villanueva, Edwin Rivera, Jr. Hiram Santiago, Marissa Garcia, Albert Villanueva and Melissa Cordova Spotto; 18 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss her. She is also survived by a Spiritual daughter, Berky Laras that was with her for almost 11 years taking care of her daily needs and became so close she adopted her as her daughter. Margarita would have had very hard times if not for Berky and her family.
