Manuel Sousa

Manuel Sousa, age 41, of Seymour has passed away into the eternal rest of the almighty on February 10, 2022 in Ansonia, CT.  Manuel was born in Bridgeport to Manuel Sousa and Maria Rocha.  He resided in Bridgeport most of his life and recently relocated to the Seymour area.  Manuel was a very talented young man who many considered a "Jack of all trades" as there was nothing he would not try and accomplish doing.  He was very handy in many aspects when it came to home repairs and construction of things.  He learned how to be a barber and was able to show his creativity in barbering many family members and friends.  He was a vibrant person who was considered the life of the party and everyone looked forward to his arrival at any event knowing it would be one to remember.  He loved music and simply enjoyed spending time with everyone around him.

Besides his parents, "Manny" leaves behind his step-mother Rosa Sousa, who raised him, and whom he cherished like a mother.  His beloved Angelica Arenas and their children John Paul Sousa and Juliana Marie Sousa.  His siblings Damiana Harper, Angelica Sousa, Ivonne Perez, Ariahana Vaine, Elvira Perez and Armand Perez.  All other relatives and friends that will sorely miss him.  

Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022, from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.

Proper mask usage is required by all while inside the funeral home.
