Lydia R. Romero

Lydia R. Romero, age 81, of Bridgeport passed into the Glorious presence of the Lord on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT while surrounded by her loving family; Lydia was born in Camuy, Puerto Rico bringing joy to her parents the late Emilio Santiago and the late Marcelina Abrahams; A loving woman there is no doubt a severe loss for her family. she is survived by her true love Juan Soto, sons Luis David Romero, Edwin Romero and Zigfredo Perez; her daughters Carmen N. Ponce and Marisol Romero; her grandchilden Johnny “Johnito” Colon, Christina Romero ,Ayden Romero, Ceasar Rivera, Michelle Rivera and Katherine Perez; her great grandchildren Neremiah E. Colon, Jovanie Colon, Matthew Colon, Isabella Colon, Emma-Grace Colon, Landon David James Falkner, Jacob Santaella,Amelia Williams and Maryann Rivera; her brothers Pedro Luis Santiago and Emilio Rafael Santiago; her sister Luz Takacs; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends whom will sorely miss her. She was predeceased by her sisters the late Carmen Alicia Santiago and the late Ana Guzman; Friends are invited to attend calling hours/Viewing/Visitation on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Families First at Luz de Paz), 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06608; Burial will take place on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 lineup begins at 9:30 A.M. at the Funeral Home Parking lot followed by interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT
