Lydia Esther Rodriguez

Lydia E. Rodriguez, age 80 of Bridgeport, entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. She was born in Coamo, Puerto Rico to the late Jesus Rodriguez and Maria Engracia Rodriguez prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. Lydia will be remembered as a feisty woman who truly enjoyed playing scratch-off tickets, buying lottery tickets, and going to the casino. More than anything, Lydia adored playing BINGO. Her favorite past time was playing bingo at the Hall Neighborhood House Senior Center with her friends who affectionately called her “Chichi”. She is survived by her children, Leyla Rosado, Michelle Rosado, Hector Rosado, and Felipe Rosado; son in laws Geraldo Navedo and Edwin Torres. She is also survived by her grandchildren Enix Navedo, Sheilys Torres, Sherley Torres, Felix Rosado, and Hector Rosado Jr.; and great-grandchildren Anthony Rivera, Jayson Rivera, and Emma Ruiz whom she adored and found great joy in caring for them. She is predeceased by the love of her life Felipe Rosado Sr. The family would like to thank Lydia’s caregivers Ami and Ana for the exceptional care and love they showed her as well as the staff at Davita and Bridgeport Hospital. Family and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Sunday, July 25, 2021, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home) 426 E. Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT 06608. The funeral service is scheduled for Monday, July 26, 2021 beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
