Luis C. Lanzó, Sr.

Luis C. Lanzó, Sr., a man of great spirit, passed away on August 5, 2023, at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT. He was born on May 22, 1935, in Loiza, Puerto Rico.

Luis led a life filled with joy and laughter, known for his great sense of humor and his ability to bring smiles to the faces of those around him. His quick wit and jokes were legendary, and his remarkable singing voice never failed to captivate the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of hearing it.  

A true homebody, Luis cherished spending time with his loved ones. His family meant everything to him, and he loved them unconditionally. Luis had a heart of gold that touched the lives of all who crossed his path. The memories they shared will forever be cherished and treasured.

In his younger years, Luis's proudest accomplishments included raising a beautiful family whom he adored. He is survived by his loving wife Elia Fuentes   his son, Luis C. Lanzó (Barbara), and devoted daughter Zenaida Lanzo Badger (Robert). Their lives have been forever enriched by his enduring love and guidance.

Luis was also a brother among many siblings who shared a deep bond with him. He is survived by his brothers Felix Lanzó, and Reuben Lanzó; as well as his sisters Marcela Lanzó, Maria Lanzó, Natalia Lanzó, Marta Lanzó, Edisia Lanzó, and Dorca Lanzó.  His grandchildren David Langston, Tatiana Langston, Jameil Langston, and great-grand daughter Nayla Skye Alteri.  Their collective strength as a family has helped them weather many storms throughout their lives.  

He was preceded in death by his grandson the late Luis C. Lanzo III and his siblings the late Esteban Lanzo, the late Edicta Lanzo, the late Amado Lanzo and the late Eliu Lanzo.

The visitation service for Luis C. Lanzo will be held on August 16, 2023, at Funeraria Luz De Paz in Bridgeport, CT. Friends and well-wishers are invited to pay their respects from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Funeral Services to be held on August 17, 2023, beginning at 12:00 P.M.  at the Funeral Home followed by interment in the Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT by approx. 1:30 PM arrival. 

Luis's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His laughter and zest for life will continue to inspire and uplift all those who were touched by his presence. As we bid farewell to this remarkable soul, let us remember him not with tears but with smiles and laughter that he so effortlessly shared with each and every one of us.
