Luis Figueroa, age 64, of Stratford, CT has passed away into the presence of the Lord on September 12, 2022, in his home while surrounded by his family and friends. Luis was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico to the late Carlos Figueroa and the late Ana deJesus, but relocated to the local area many years ago. Luis is the husband of Elba I. Figueroa. Luis and his wife Elba were married in Puerto Rico. They were happily married for 42 years and were parishioners of Blessed Sacrament Church. They raised their two beautiful children in Bridgeport, CT. They shared a wonderful life together and their love for each other will endure. He Loved sports and enjoyed countless times at Seaside Park watching Friends and family play Baseball. An avid Mets fan, UCONN and more, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends appreciating great plays and memorable moments together. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also appreciated cars specifically the Chevrolet Camaro. Truly a man with a heart of gold, although has moved on to be with the Lord, he leaves memories and times to cherish for a lifetime.
In addition to his wife Elba, Luis is survived by his children Carlos Figueroa and his wife Daniela and Elba Figueroa and her spouse Jose Quiñones. his grandchildren Jianna E. Quiñones, Giulia A. Figueroa, Sofia L. Quiñones and Maximus L. Figueroa. His siblings Martin Figueroa, Felix Figueroa, and Micdonio Figueroa. In addition to his parents, Luis is preceded in death by his siblings the late Carlos Figueroa the late Johanna Figueroa Thompson and the late Herbert Figueroa and a host of other relatives and friends, who will dearly miss him.
Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 3:30 P.M. Until 6:00 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Blessed Sacrament Church, 275 Union Avenue, Bridgeport followed by interment in the Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT.
