Lucy Gutierrez, Age 72, beloved wife of the late Rafael Gutierrez has entered into the peaceful rest of the lord on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in Bridgeport Hospital. Lucy was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the Bridgeport area many years ago. She is the daughter of the late Felix Diaz and Elisa Montanez. She is survived by her daughter Donna Gutierrez; her brother Anthony Diaz; her sisters Diana Diaz, Linda Diaz Rivera, Carmen DelMonte, and Luisa Guzman; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly. In addition to her spouse and parents she is also predeceased by her son Sonny Diaz. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 beginning at 11:00 A.M. Followed by a funeral service at 1:00 P.M. all will be held at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Families first at Luz de Paz), 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. Her interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Avenue, Stratford, CT.
