Lucia Alicea, of Bridgeport passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 1, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Juan Ramon Alicea. Lucia was born in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico on January 10, 1932. Lucia worked for Bridgeport Metal Goods before her retirement with over 25 years of service. She was a woman of great faith and was a very active parishioner of St. Peter Church and most recently attended St Mary Church in Bridgeport.
She enjoyed going to the casinos, playing bingo and spending time at the beach. Lucia was a loving, generous and thoughtful woman who loved cooking and singing. Her greatest enjoyment however was found in the time she spent with her family and friends. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Lucia is survived by her loving sons, James Alicea and his spouse Johanna of Florida, Nelson Alicea and his spouse Evelyn of Monroe, and her daughter, Migdalia Bisch and her late husband Robert Bisch of Shelton. She is also survived by her cherished granddaughters, Jessica McCarthy, Stephanie Mazza, Cristina Alicea Saunders(Kevin), Diana Alicea, Lianne Bisch and several great-grandchildren, whom she adored so much. A private service, attended by her immediate family, was held at Funeraria Luz de Paz on April 6, 2021. Burial was held at Gates of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a future date.
