Louis Nieves Jr. the son of the late Luis Nieves and Awilda Torres, departed this life on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at his home in Bridgeport, CT. Louis spent his childhood and school age in Norwalk with his other parents, Pops, the late Clifford Keels, and his Mimi Pastor Elizabeth Keels. He attended the Norwalk Public School System.
Louis was a member of the Gethsemane Garden Baptist Church in New York. He was a great Usher. He worked closely with the elderly helping them to the car, making runs to the store, and walking them to their apartments.
Louis was a caring and compassionate son, brother, uncle and friend. He was very family oriented and loved his family.
Louis leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving mother, Awilda Torres, his stepfather Gustavo Valverde, his Mimi Pastor Elizabeth Keels, both of Norwalk; two sisters, Lymarie Nieves and Ashlee Valverde of Norwalk; three brothers Jamel Keels (Mariana) of Greenwich, Antoine Keels of Norwalk and Michael Keels of Bridgeport, CT, Grandparents Overseer Earlean Oliver and Deacon Jacob Oliver of New York, his nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins whom he loved and cared for dearly. He also left behind his fiance Elizabeth (Lisa) Serrano, her children, and grandchildren.
His humorous and loving kind spirit will be missed by many.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
