Liberato DeJesus Reyes

Liberato DeJesus Reyes, 81, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2022, in the comfort of his home surrounded by the love of his family.  He was born in the Dominican Republic to the late Juan DeJesus Reyes and Fidelina Torres.  He is the beloved life partner of Maria Pineda.

Liberato was a devoted employee of the United Nations for many years providing delicious meals to the international community always with a smile.  In his spare time, he enjoyed watching the news from his homeland, playing dominoes and was an avid baseball fan.  He was a very happy and strong person who was dedicated to his family.

Liberato leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving children Wilfredo Reyes (Wendy), Marta Perez, Elizabeth Reyes and Richard Pineda (Alba), 10 adoring grandchildren and 13 precious great-grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives that will miss him dearly.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM, then again on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT.  Burial will follow immediately after at Mt. Grove Cemetery 2675 North Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
