Leslie A Jimenez

November 15, 1975 — January 28, 2025

Leslie A. Jimenez, a beloved member of her community and cherished family member, passed away on January 28, 2025, in New Haven, Connecticut. Born on November 15, 1975, in Denver, Colorado, Leslie's journey through life was marked by an infectious sense of humor and a warmth that made her a good person to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Leslie graduated from Bassick High School in Bridgeport, where she cultivated lifelong friendships and made indelible memories. Throughout her life, she had a deep appreciation for music, which brought her joy and served as a background to the many moments she shared with family and friends.

Leslie is survived by her mother, Carmen Jimenez, and her children: Marco Georges (Tamika), Mohammad Salehnasir, and Milia Jimenez. She held a special place in her heart for her siblings: Jannitti Torres (Manuel), Carmen Colon (Rafael), Gerardo Anzo (Jasmine), Teresa Jimenez, Milagros Gonzalez (Juan), and Alfredo Gonzalez (Jennifer). The bonds she shared with each of them were precious, and her legacy will continue through the love they carry in her memory.

As we come together to remember our beloved Leti, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible person she was and the love she shared with all of us. Leti was not just our sister, our friend, or our aunt; she was a radiant soul who filled our lives with joy and warmth.

Her unwavering love for her children was unmatched. She often called them her monkeys, always ready to protect them like the true mama bear she was. Leti's house was always open, a welcoming haven for those in need, and she spread happiness wherever she went through her kindness and generosity.

Growing up as the second of seven siblings, Leti was our green-eyed baby face sister, full of life and energy. She brought joy with her infectious laughter and her passion for dancing to the music that filled her heart. Leti’s vibrant spirit resonated with both family and friends, making her a party all by herself.

Leti's love for her mother was profound and unwavering. She offered her support, friendship, and companionship, always ensuring her mom felt cherished. Leti had a unique ability to make friends with strangers, leaving an imprint of her kindness on everyone she met.

One of her remarkable talents was cooking. Leti was the best cook in the family, and her dishes, adorned with the Boricua flag, were always a source of pride and unity.

The sight and smell of roses will forever remind us of her presence. Just as a rose unfolds its petals to share its beauty, Leti shared her love and kindness with all of us. She made the world more beautiful, and the fragrance of a rose will always bring her memory to life in our hearts.

Leti's legacy lives on in the laughter and silly games she created with her children, games that they will carry with them as cherished memories. Each of her nieces and nephews holds a special story that they will fondly remember - their titi Leti.

Let us celebrate her life and the love she so freely gave to all of us.
