She was born in Brazil to the late Cynira Rossi and is the beloved wife of 51 years of Victor M. Acuna. A true resident of Fairfield, CT, Laura lived in her house on Putting Green Road for over 50 years before retiring at 80 years old to Florida.
Laura loved Jesus with all of her being and her immense joy and servanthood for others was felt by everyone who knew her. Laura’s family was her everything. If she wasn’t working, she was either home cooking for her family, or at church worshiping the Lord.
Laura was extremely hardworking and took pride in everything that she did. She loved her job and worked for Martha Stewart as the head housekeeper for 32 years. During this time, her decorative creativity at Martha’s residence was put on display for the world to see - especially during the holidays.
Through every health obstacle or hospital visit, Laura never once spoke a word of negativity. Instead her smile and contagiously positive attitude was always at the forefront of her mind. She was a very positive person who always wore a beautiful smile everywhere she went.
Aside from her husband, Victor Acuna, Laura leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children Daniel R. Acuna and his wife Stephanie, Laura Sikes and her husband Daniel, her beloved sister Maria Froes and her husband Levy Froes, her adoring grandchildren Lucas D. Acuna, Samuel C. Nonirit, David L. K. Acuna, Daniel P.S. Acuna, and a host of friends and relatives that will miss her dearly.
