Judith Zapata, age 58, returned to the Peaceful Rest of the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019, at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. She was the beloved wife of Julio Flores and a lifelong resident of Bridgeport.
Judith as a caring and high spirited woman whose energy couldn't be contained. She was extremely charismatic, and loved to have fun, especially when listening to her "gangster music." She was very encouraging and caring towards her family and friends, never left anyone behind and would give her last dollar to anyone in need. She believed that family should always stick together and that forgiveness was key.
Judith is the loving mother of William Berrios and Iesha Rodriguez; the adoring grandmother of Judith Marrero, Jose Marrero, Rody Marrero, Layla Marrero, Carmelo Anaya, Lydia Anaya, Johnny Zapata, Paris Zapata, Maliyah Berrios, Leilani Berrios, Liam Berrios, and Rylan Berrios; and the great grandmother of Nikolai Zapata. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Blanca DeJesus.
Family and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Friday, September 20, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home) 426 E. Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT 06608. Her interment will follow at Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
