Juana " Juanita" Garcia Coyoy

Juana "Juanita" Garcia Coyoy, age 91, currently of Bridgeport has passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord on April 18, 2022, in Bridgeport Hospital. Juanita was born in San Mateo Quetzaltenango, Guatemala to the late Agustin Garcia and the late Juana Coyoy.  She relocated to the United States in 2003 and has resided here since.  

Juanita was a very active and energetic woman throughout her life.  A simple woman but one considered wise by all who knew her.  She was known to give sage and encouraging advice, which always included faith in God.  Everyone enjoyed her cooking as they always knew what to expect when having dinner from her hands. Juanita was a beautiful gem that will forever be priceless.

Juanita is survived by her children Olga Garcia, Maria Garcia, Jorge Ruano, Mario Ruano, Juliana Garcia and Diego Garcia.  14 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends who will sorely miss her.  

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 11 A.M. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 391 Ogden Street, Bridgeport, CT. Friends are invited to attend calling hours the same day, April 28 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.  at Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06608.

The final disposition will be held in Guatemala.
