Juan Serrano Nieves, age 76, returned to the Loving Arms of the Lord on February 18, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Abigail Cruz Serrano. He was born in Abra Honda, Camuy, Puerto Rico; son of the late Monserrate Nieves and Jose Adorno Serrano prior to his relocating to North Carolina. Juan was a longtime resident of Bridgeport for over 30 years and 10 years in Ansonia. He was a dedicated worker, who was employed for 22 years by General Electric in BPT also 5 years for the Department of Correction(DOC)New Haven and 12 years by Department of Transportation(DOT)Orange, and Juan was also a man of deep christian faith - he spent 49 years servicing in different local churches throughout CT. He was a graduate of the Latin American Biblical Institute and an Instructor in Assemblies of God Bible Institute for several years, also one of the initial founders & Pastor of Alpha y Omega Church and Prince of Peace Church. He is the loving father of Gail (William) Serrano Gruce of Derby and Jennipher Serrano Lubik(Widow of David) Beloved Granddaughter Tatiana JoLee Lubik of Knightdale, NC; and the caring brother of Jose Serrano Jr of Bayamon, PR, Elias Serrano of El Paso, TX, Irma Lecza of Sebring, FL, Ana Serrano, Cristina Torres of BPT, CT, Tina Siwinski, Katherine Cross and Gladys Taylor of Jamestown, NY. Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service on Thursday March 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cornerstone Christian Center, 349 Wheelers Farm Road, Milford, CT 06461.
