Joshua Richard Louis Eastman

October 2, 1975 — October 31, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joshua Richard Louis Eastman, who left this world on October 31, 2024, at Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut.  He was a true warrior who bravely battled his illness.  Joshua was born on October 2, 1975, in Bridgeport where he would come to cultivate a fulfilling life marked by creativity, joy, deep connections to both his family and community.

Joshua was a devoted professional and proprietor of Eastman Connecticut Construction Company. His skills as an accomplished carpenter were matched only by his remarkable talents as a mechanic and car salesman, having contributed to Grand Garage LLC throughout his career. His craftsmanship and work ethic were a source of pride for family and friends alike, and he had a special way of making every project feel personal, reflecting his dedication to quality and service.

Educated in the Fairfield Public School system, Josh carried the values of hard work and commitment instilled in him throughout his life. He was a man of many interests and hobbies; whether it was camping under the stars, exploring the beauty of RV travel, cruising on a motorcycle, or enjoying time spent fishing, Joshua embraced life fully. He had a passion for playing the guitar that often filled the air with melodies that brought warmth and comfort. His fascination with astronomy led him to spend countless evenings peering through telescopes, always captivated by the wonders of the universe. Joshua’s interests also included transcendental meditation, where he found peace and solace. Anyone who knew Josh would agree that he was a humble, kind, and warm human being who loved and lived life to the fullest.

Josh leaves behind his beloved mother, Wanda Eastman, his brother Daran Eastman, and his loving girlfriend Belinda Vinton, his cherished nephew, Kyle Eastman, Aunt Sophie and Uncle Tom Broadley and cousins and many friends.  Their bond was a source of strength and joy, and together they will remember the laughter, support, and love that defined their relationships. He also leaves behind his two affectionate cats, Chevy and Levey, who brought him companionship and joy.

Josh is preceded in death by his father, Dana Eastman, a loss felt deeply by those who knew him.

A viewing will be held in honor of Josh at Funeraria Luz De Paz, located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT, on November 10, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. As we gather to celebrate his life, we invite all who knew him to come together in remembrance of a man who touched so many lives, who embraced each moment, and who left behind not just a legacy of work, but a heartwarming legacy of love. Joshua Richard Louis Eastman will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
