Jose David Vega Cotto, a skilled tire technician and a cherished member of his community, departed this world on April 15, 2025, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He was affectionately call "Compi".  Born on March 3, 1957, on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico in Caguas, he embraced life with a jovial spirit that touched the hearts of everyone around him.

Compi was not just known for his craftsmanship in the tire industry; he was celebrated for his loving nature and genuine personality. With a heart full of kindness, he had the remarkable ability to make those around him feel valued and loved. His joyful demeanor, overflowing with jokes and laughter, made every gathering brighter and more memorable. Friends and strangers alike were often drawn to his warmth, which created a welcoming environment wherever he went.

As a devoted husband, father, and brother, Jose is survived by his beloved wife, Angelita Nazario. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter. His legacy continues through his children: Eliud Vega, Ana Rojas, Raul Rojas, and Luis Nazario, each carrying forward his spirit in their own unique ways. Jose also leaves behind his siblings, Gloria Vega, Eric Vega, and Alex Vega, who will carry cherished memories of their time and experiences together. Compi also leaves his precious 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Jose’s parents, Ceferino Vega and Carmen Gloria Cotto, along with his siblings Awilda Vega, Carmen Vega, and Luis Vega, have already embraced him in their eternal rest, but his influence and love are far-reaching and everlasting. As we gather to honor a life so well-lived, we remember Jose not just for the roles he played in our lives but for the love he exuded and the joy he spread.

A visitation to celebrate Compi's life will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Luz De Paz, located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT. It is in these moments of remembrance that we will come together to share our stories, our laughter, and our tears as we bid farewell to an incredible man who was a source of happiness and strength for many.

Jose David Vega Cotto will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy of joy and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.

José David Vega Cotto, un hábil técnico de llantas y un querido miembro de su comunidad, partió de este mundo el 15 de abril de 2025 en Bridgeport, Connecticut. Cariñosamente lo llamaban "Compi".  Nacido el 3 de marzo de 1957 en la hermosa isla de Puerto Rico, en Caguas, vivió la vida con un espíritu jovial que tocó los corazones de todos a su alrededor.

Compi no solo era conocido por su destreza en la industria de llantas; también era admirado por su naturaleza amorosa y su personalidad genuina. Con un corazón lleno de bondad, tenía la extraordinaria capacidad de hacer que quienes lo rodeaban se sintieran valorados y amados. Su actitud alegre, siempre acompañada de bromas y risas, iluminaba cada encuentro y lo hacía inolvidable. Amigos y desconocidos por igual se sentían atraídos por su calidez, la cual creaba un ambiente acogedor dondequiera que estuviera.

Como esposo, padre y hermano devoto, José deja atrás a su amada esposa, Angelita Nazario. Juntos formaron una familia llena de amor y alegría. Su legado continúa a través de sus hijos: Eliud Vega, Ana Rojas, Raúl Rojas y Luis Nazario, quienes llevan consigo su espíritu de maneras únicas. También le sobreviven sus hermanos Gloria Vega, Eric Vega y Alex Vega, quienes conservarán los preciados recuerdos del tiempo y experiencias compartidas, al igual que sus preciosos 9 nietos y 2 bis nietos.

Sus padres, Ceferino Vega y Carmen Gloria Cotto, junto con sus hermanos Awilda Vega, Carmen Vega y Luis Vega, ya lo han recibido en su descanso eterno, pero su influencia y amor perdurarán por siempre. Al reunirnos para honrar una vida tan bien vivida, recordamos a José no solo por los roles que desempeñó en nuestras vidas, sino por el amor que irradiaba y la alegría que sembraba.

Un velorio para celebrar la vida de Compi se llevará a cabo el jueves 24 de abril de 2025, de 6:00 PM a 9:00 PM en la Funeraria Luz De Paz, ubicada en el 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT. En estos momentos de recuerdo, nos uniremos para compartir nuestras historias, nuestras risas y nuestras lágrimas al despedirnos de un hombre increíble que fue fuente de felicidad y fortaleza para muchos.

José David Vega Cotto permanecerá por siempre en los corazones de quienes lo conocieron y amaron. Su legado de alegría y amor seguirá inspirando a todos los que tuvieron la dicha de cruzarse en su camino.
