Jose Luis Ortiz Santiago

Jose L. Ortiz Santiago, age 35 of Bridgeport, the beloved husband of Amarilys Gazmey has passed into the presence of the Lord suddenly on July 31, 2019 in Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT; Jose was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the United States where he has resided since the early age of 2. Jose is the son of Jose L. Ortiz and Rosa Ortiz Santiago both of Bridgeport; Jose loved the Lord with all his heart mind and soul. He feverishly worked to advance the knowledge of the kingdom of God and the goodness of the Lord for mankind. Regardless of the circumstances Jose managed to look beyond and stay strong, keep smiling and knowing that his Redeemer lives. Together with his wife he is a parent of one son Jose E. Ortiz; one daughter Deborah M. Ortiz; He is also survived by his siblings Janice Ortiz and James Ortiz; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and other friends whom will dearly miss him and his love for life and contagious joy; Those that would like to join the family as they hold calling hours/visitation, may do so on Sunday, August 11, 2019 from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. Funeral services have been scheduled for Monday, August 12, 2019, beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Service beginning approximately at 10:15-10:30 A.M. Interment will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport, Connecticut. Instead of Flowers, the family encourages online memorial contributions (by CLICKING/PRESS HERE) and/or in-person at the funeral home or directly to them as they strive to provide the final services Jose deserves although his passing was sudden and unexpected.
