It is With heavy hearts and deep gratitude, we announce the passing of Jose Lugo, who departed this life on July 23, 2024, at the age of 46. Born and raised in Bridgeport, Jose's journey was marked by resilience, honor, and an unyielding love for his family and passions. Jose faced life’s trials with unmatched courage. Throughout the years he displayed the depth of his spirit through his love for others. He cared for patients as they faced health challenges, but his spirit was also shown in his love for sports, especially baseball and boxing. His dedication to restoring vehicles was remarkable, spending countless hours reviving details lost to time, showcasing his meticulous nature. Beyond these interests, Jose cherished the simple joys of life and remained faithfully devoted to his family. He is the son of the late Jose A. Lugo and Ivette Lugo of Bridgeport. In addition to his mother, Jose is survived by his Son Jose Lugo, his siblings, Marisol Cartagena, Jacqueline Lugo, and Joshua Lugo; his grandfather Hector L. Rivera Rosa, and his grandmother Paula Lugo. His Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and an endless list of other family and friends will cherish the moments shared for generations to come.
A Viewing and Visitation will be held at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT, on Friday, August 9, 2024, beginning at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, at approximately 2:00 P.M.
Jose’s life, marked by quiet strength and unwavering loyalty, leaves behind a legacy of hope and love. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
