Jose J Rivera, a joyful and social person who always had a joke at hand and was always ready for a good party, peacefully passed away on August 17, 2023, in Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, Connecticut. He was born on September 18, 1964, in Utuado, Puerto Rico but relocated to the United States Mainland Many years ago residing most of his life here in Bridgeport. Jose was a good son, father, brother, and friend.
Jose's vibrant personality brought happiness to family and friends alike. He had a knack for bringing smiles to people's faces. a Jack of All trades, never hesitated in lending a hand to someone in any way he could. Known by many for his love of laughter and good times, Jose will forever be remembered as someone who brightened the lives of those around him.
In his free time, Jose pursued various hobbies and interests that brought him solace. He had a need for speed and found great exhilaration in car racing. Whether it was dominating the race or tinkering with engines, he had an unmatched passion for all things automotive. Besides racing, Jose also enjoyed playing dominos and relaxing by the water while fishing. However, above all else, he cherished spending quality time with his family.
Jose will be deeply missed by all those who knew him. His children, Jose A. Rivera, Christina Rivera, Johnathan Rivera and his wife Stephanie; Jose‘s love Maria Rodriguez who was with him to the very end; Jose's siblings Maria Rivera, Carmen Rivera, Luis Rivera, Axel Rivera, Ana Rivera, as well as Barbie Ortiz; fondly remember their moments of laughter and love shared with him. He played an integral role in their lives and leaves behind precious memories that will be cherished forever.
Throughout his life journey, Jose cultivated deep connections with many. His ability to make everyone feel welcomed and included will never be forgotten.
To honor the memory of Jose J Rivera and celebrate his life, a visitation will be held on August 22, 2023, at Funeraria Luz De Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The visitation will begin at 6:00 PM and conclude at 9:00 PM. This gathering will provide an opportunity for everyone to share stories, reminisce about joyful moments spent with Jose, and find comfort in one another's presence.
