Jorge Ramirez, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, at the age of 80. He was born on April 18, 1944, in Lima, Peru. Jorge touched many lives with his gentle spirit and shared his artistic talents with the world around him.
Jorge dedicated many years of his life as a machinist in the manufacturing industry, where his work ethic and humility earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike. Throughout his life, he maintained a deep devotion to his faith as a pious member of St. Peter's Church in Bridgeport, actively participating in the community and serving the Lord with the utmost sincerity.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Jorge will forever cherish the beautiful broad smile that lit up his face, illuminating even the dullest days. He was a homebody, often finding joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as the tranquility of the beach, where he reflected on the beauty of nature. Jorge was also an accomplished artist, painting a variety of landscapes, still lifes, and religious images, pouring his heart into each stroke of the brush as he expressed his innermost feelings through his art.
He is survived by his loving wife, Eneida Ramirez; his dear children, Karitsa Ramirez, Jorge A. Ramirez Jr and Aldwin Ramirez; and his cherished grandchildren: Malani Calder, Jayden Ramirez, Julissa Ramirez, Talise Toran, and Jorge Ramirez. Each of them carries a piece of Jorge’s kind spirit in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Ramirez, who will be lovingly remembered alongside Jorge in the hearts of their family.
Visitation will be held on November 20, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Funeraria Luz De Paz, located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT. Following this, a Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter Parish at 12:00 PM, located at 695 Colorado Ave., Bridgeport, CT. Jorge will be laid to rest at Mt. Grove Cemetery following the services, during which family and friends will gather to honor a man whose life was a testament to faith, humility, and love.
Jorge Ramirez’s legacy will live on through his family and the countless lives he touched during his journey. His gentle nature and unwavering devotion to his loved ones and the Lord will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
