Jorge Roberto Lara, age 29 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest suddenly on Monday, July 5, 2021, in his home. He was born in Bridgeport and attended Bridgeport Public Schools, graduating from Harding High School. He is the son of Julio C. Lara whom he considered his best friend and Lillian Pagan whom he wouldn't stop smothering with kisses and hugs.
He was employed by the US Postal Service as a carrier for the past 6 years. He dreamed of traveling the world to experience different cultures and took several virtual voyages until the day he was able to do so in person. He enjoyed watching Bollywood movies, Anime, and Korean dramas - provided his sister would read him the subtitles, otherwise, it was a no-go.
To the outside world, Jorge came across as shy and quiet, but once you got to know him, he would unveil his contagious, joyful personality and his phenomenal sense of humor. His family lovingly and jokingly referred to him as "Mr. Google" because he was able to find the answer to any question quickly online. More than anything in the world, he loved spending time with his family who were his everything and what he lived for. Truthfully nothing can change or justify his sudden departure, but time will bring solace. Time will bring healing, but time will bring us closer to the day we see him again in God's loving presence.
Along with his parents, Jorge is survived by his siblings: Lilliana (Argenis) Lara and Leonel (Nyeshia) Lara; his grandmother, Lydia Torres; his aunts: Jacqueline Pagan, Belkis Lara, Elizabeth Peña, Alicia Lara, and Ana Lara; his uncles: Carlos Nieves, Jose Lara, and Sergio Lara; and his cousins: Mary Beth Lopez, Ramon Peña, Jr., Melissa Escobar, Carlos Nieves, Juan Garcia, Luis Munguia, Jose Lara, Obed Casiano, Yamilette Lara, Brenda Peña, Rachel Gamon, Luis Garcia, Sergio Lara, Jr., Osman Lara, Jose Garcia, and Darwin Casiano.
Friends may attend the viewing on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, 10:00 A.M. -12:00 P.M, followed by a service in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mt. Grove Easton Cemetery, Easton, CT where he will be laid to rest. Please explore his memorial page, where you may share your memories, prayers and so much more found only at www.luzdepaz.com .
